YKK Center Park
Let’s go see YKK’s manufacturing secrets!
Fasteners made by YKK are used around the world. The YKK group operates in 71 different countries around the world, and the Kurobe Plant is home to the YKK Center Park.
At the YKK Center Park, you will be able to discover the history and technologies behind the manufacturing of zippers and windows, as well as the business ideology and the life of the company’s founder: Tadao Yoshida.
You can also buy original gifts decorated with zippers, and enjoy some homemade roasted coffee, directly imported from YKK’s own Brazilian plantation, at the café and lounge. The hour-long “Zipper making and guided exhibition hall tour” (reservation required) is also extremely popular. You can also freely visit the “Furusato-no-Mori,” or hometown forest, a park that aims to recreate Kurobe’s original natural forest.
